What this is

About RV Roof Reseal & Repair

Western Washington weather is hard on RV roofs. Sealant around vents, skylights and seams dries out and cracks over time, and a small gap can let water in long before you see a stain on the ceiling.

We clean the roof, look over the seams and fixtures, and reseal the areas that need it. If we spot damage that needs more than a reseal, we will tell you plainly.

What the job covers

  • Cleaning the roof surface before any work
  • Inspecting seams, vents, skylights and edges
  • Removing failing sealant where needed
  • Resealing and patching the problem areas

What to expect on the visit

  1. 1We go up and look at every seam, vent and edge
  2. 2You hear which spots are failing and which are holding
  3. 3The roof gets cleaned so new sealant bonds
  4. 4Fresh sealant is laid and left to cure

How to prevent it

  • Sweep fir needles and leaves off the roof every few weeks
  • Look at the sealant around vents before and after the rainy season
  • Park out from under dripping trees when you can
  • Clear moss early before it holds water against the seams

Signs you need this

  • Water stains on the ceiling or walls
  • Cracked or peeling sealant around vents
  • Soft spots when walking the roof
  • Moss or needles collecting along the seams

Questions

About RV Roof Reseal & Repair

How often should an RV roof be looked at?

Before and after the rainy season is a good rhythm. Call us and we can talk through what makes sense for your rig.

I have a roof leak right now. What should I do?

Catch the drip, keep things dry inside as best you can, and call or text us so we can get out to you.

Why does the roof get cleaned first?

Sealant needs a clean surface to stick, so dirt and old residue come off before anything new goes on.

Can moss damage an RV roof?

Moss holds moisture against the roof and seams. Clearing it early keeps that water from finding a way in.
